Is your C.V a total Nightmare??

Get paid to scare - The Nightmare Scare Workshop & Auditions

“The Witch of the Woods is calling her deranged creatures home”

The hunt is on for the most despicable and gruesome characters that Ireland has to offer. The Nightmare Realm, Ireland’s top scare attraction, is recruiting people with a talent for terror to be part of their live horror experience at The RDS Dublin over the month of October.

It’s the perfect opportunity to embrace your sinister side and unleash your inner monster! And best of all – you’ll get paid to scare the living hell out of people!  Do you think you have what it takes?

No experience is needed for acting roles as full training will be given.  The only criteria for being considered is that you are outgoing, willing to embody the role of your character and instil hysteria on your victims.  Performance spaces include darkness, small spaces, strobe lighting, loud noises and fog effects so if you are afraid of the dark this is not the job for you!

The Halloween attraction is also holding makeup trials for artists wanting to assist The Nightmare Realm’s talented spfx team.

As part of their recruitment process, they are holding a Scare Workshop/Audition at The RDS on September 1 from 12-2pm to see if you have what it takes to join their monster crew. Almost 50 jobs are up for grabs.

This recruitment process is a far cry from a boring C.V and blood-stained cover letter. Instead, applicants will take part in a group workshop where they will be shown the fine art of how to be a scare performer. Those who show the most promise will be welcomed into the Realm’s dysfunctional family.

As an actor at The Nightmare Realm, you will be trained in the art of psychological scare tactics and you will be transformed via the use of professional masks, costumes, makeup and prosthetics. Your new alter ego will allow you to embrace your dark side.

“We’re looking for exceptional talent when it comes to scare tactics this year to help us take The Nightmare Realm to the next level” according to Karl O’Connor, creator of The Nightmare Realm.  “We are at the cutting edge of fx, stage and psychological tactics and we love to push the boundaries of our show. Mixing well thought out storylines and movie quality stunts with even the simplest of ideas is what makes our show distinguished from the rest. By the time we open, we will have spent 12 months planning, organising and building this year's show, so now we need some kick ass people to bring it all to life  We invite everyone to audition who thinks they can make an impact and has the availability and ability to work throughout October. Maybe you've never acted before, no problem, we want personality and people who love to scare.”
